Fund Raising

Rutland Sailability is a registered charity and all our members are unpaid volunteers. We raise all our funds through modest subscriptions and fund-raising in the wider community.

We depend on a large number of commercial and voluntary organisations as well as private donations to purchase new boats and equipment and to fund our annual operating costs, examples of which are maintenance, insurance, safety boat running costs (without which we cannot sail) and various essential fees.  All our funds go directly to the benefit of our members and, wherever possible, we attribute the purchase to the donor organisation.

We are always grateful for donations, large or small, and thank all those who have given over the years.  Without such support our members would not have the facilities available to them today.

Wooden Spoon Boat Presentation

Here are just a few of the photos from the 303 boat presentation on 7th Sept 2019 by representatives of The Wooden Spoon. 'This is Me' and 'Hope'  have now joined our fleet at Rutland Sailability. It was a very jolly and happy occasion.

Malcolm Foulkes-Arnold and Bleddyn Jones both ex Leicester Tigers were present along with Simon Whitaker,Duncan Jeffries,John Harlow and the Hon Sarah Price, and can be seen enjoying a sail.

Many thanks to all who had made this day possible.
